It's not that bad - Just a different workout, you'll get better and it will get easier - like everything. But why do you have to give up on running and playing hockey and weight training?

These things are not destructive to your body. It's the constant push for better performance that is detrimental to your body (over time). What if you focus on structure and movement perfection?
